Small and safe - think again - improve security of your external drives and USB's now
The sheer volume of data that USBs and external drives can carry boggles the mind. A few years ago, the ability of a tiny device, no bigger than your thumb, storing 32 Gigabytes (GB) of data would have been unimaginable. Moreover, who would have thought a mobile external hard drive would enable you to store 2 Terabytes (TB) of information, readily available anywhere, anytime.
Anti-Virus security no longer enough for home Internet users
In the past, the main threat faced by Internet users was the risk of their computer being infected with a virus. The obvious solution to this risk was to install a good anti-virus solution - and this was protection enough. However, as the threat landscape has evolved over the years, cyber criminals are no longer merely sending out viruses, but instead seek opportunities to steal users' information and compromise their computers. A simple anti-virus solution is no longer adequate.
Is your data safe? More importantly, is it available?

Business Continuity - do a bit at a time, but do it now
We have all heard of "perfect storm" scenarios where a series of events lead to seemingly inconceivable disasters. The truth is most Business Continuity (BC) or Disaster Recovery (DR) incidents are not full blown natural disasters - hardware failure, human error, software errors and viruses all play a rather large role. Getting started is easier than you think and an incremental approach to building a comprehensive plan will do just fine say experts at Overland Storage.
